World Esperanto Congress, 2027
The 112th World Congress of Esperanto will be in Melbourne, from 3 to 10 July 2027.
This congress will have a special significance: it will be only the second time in Oceania after the memorable congress in Adelaide in 1997.
Melbourne is known for its rich cultural life, vibrant multicultural environment and world-renowned educational institutions.
AEA and the World Esperanto Association (UEA) respectfully acknowledge that Melbourne/Narrm is the traditional land of the Kulina Nation. The region, whose traditional name in the Woiwurrung and Boonwurrung languages is written as Narrm and Naarm respectively, is home to an Aboriginal history dating back at least 40,000 years. The traditional name reflects a deep culture and connection to the land.
Because of the World Congress in Melbourne, there will be no Australian congress and summer school in 2027. Details of the 2028 congress will appear here when available.
